Summary of Storyline
Sabah, well known as the Land Below The Wind, is the second largest state in Malaysia and is situated at the northern part of the island of Borneo, the third largest island in the world. Sabah is rich not only in natural beauty and resources, but also in the cultural heritage of its people, which has a rich cultural diversity of some 32 ethnic communities; each with their own unique cultural heritage.
The natives ethnics of Sabah are distributed into three main groups as follow:
a) Paddy Planter – Kadazan Dusun, live in the inland of Sabah;
b) Mountain People – Murut, live on mountain;
c) Seaside People – Bajau, live along seaside.
Around 1800, during the conquer of the British, new immigrants from other countries contributed to the different ethnics and cultures of Sabah. In the modern days, natives moved into urban areas, contributing to the development of Sabah.
Nowadays, the people of Sabah live in prosperity, harmony and peace under one roof. All these ethnic groups live together harmoniously while at the same time preserving their own culture, traditions, festivals and customs to make Sabah a multicultural exotic experience.
