Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) which means value-creation society was established in 1984. It has the mission to realize the happiness of individuals, the prosperity of our country and peace among humankind, and it is based on the practice of Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhist philosophy of humanism, compassion and respect for the sanctity of life.
SGM main objectives include the following:
- To promote good values and morality among the members.
- To contribute to the well-being and prosperity of the country.
- To foster friendship, family happiness, racial harmony and peace.
- To contribute to culture, social welfare and education.
To achieve these objectives, and ultimately victory in the 21 st century, SGM carries out various activities related to culture, social welfare and education.
